Laurie Goodman has had a great impact on me.  I met her when I went to a friends home and she also happened to be visiting.  She opened the door and let me in and instantly I felt like she was a safe place.  Somehow, I ended up sharing with them a secret that I had been carrying for a while.  I had significant debt with my fledgling business and my husband didn't know about it.  Up until that point, no one knew.

I thank Laurie for being a catalyst for me.  Her presence alone helped me to address one of the most difficult things in my life to date.

She asked me to take a picture for her book and the message I created was about me having the courage to talk about what is difficult, because there is freedom on the other side.  I eventually mustered the same courage I created my message about and shared my secret with my husband.  And after some time, I felt that freedom that I had created my message about. 

I spoke at Laurie's book launch and the topic of my talk was my story about how I hid my secret.  I told 200 women, with my husband in the audience, about my debt.  The number of women that approached me afterwards with similar stories was astounding.  I was asked to speak at the 2015 Mompreneur Conference, and told a room full of individuals about my story, experiencing the same thing after, multiple women sharing their similar stores and finding a place where they didn't feel so alone and ashamed.

I thank Laurie for being a catalyst for me.  Her presence alone helped me to address one of the most difficult things in my life to date.  I can't thank her enough for having the courage to follow something that started as a whisper inside.  She created an opportunity for me to have the courage to speak what I had on the inside too.

What an amazing experience you have given me at the age of 74 - me, in a book of importance to women! I am floating around feeling pretty special - you did that and I love you for it! Friday evening at your book launch was so memorable, the wonderful and beautiful women being so brave sharing their stories - I cried, laughed and felt goosebumps and felt their truths.

Lynn and I were crying together during Suzanne's story - it was something too familiar. The whole night was so emotional, moving and rewarding. I have read the whole book 3 times and already shared some quotes with friends in cards I send. I really wish this had happened to me in my 30's but grateful it came to me at all. I really feel like a different person Laurie!

When things settle for you I would like to get a couple more books and have you sign them for me if possible, great gifts for close friends and family.
